Ultimate in competition
Hi Mike,
Have all the 40% Carden planes. IMO their 40%Extra is one of the best IMAC pattern planes around. Got a bit bored with the same old stuff so decided to try your Ultimate with a DA-150 and am nearing completion.
Forgetting 3D, are there any tips you have to add to the standard setup to compete head to head with the other mono wing aerobats (other than pilot ability). My question is basically CG, incidences, thrust etc, etc. I know you and Doug (and others I am sure) have competed very successfully with the Ultimate.
Thanking you in advance for your input.

RE: Ultimate in competition
Actually just follow the instruction manual. The correct incedences, thrst angles and throws are there. The only other think I would recommend is actually moving the Cg back a little (and I HATE tail heavy airplanes). The CG in the book is too far forward and its difficult to get a good pitch break on snaps.
