Default hanger/carden yak

mike, i have got a friend who just bought a hanger yak and it was used. it has got a dl 50 and jr 126 metal gear servos. he has been told that the servos are way to small and could cause the loss of the plane. he does not do any 3d and only sport flys. what do you think.

Default RE: hanger/carden yak

As long as the geometry of the linkages is properly done (meaning adequate mechanical advantage) the 126 servos will be fine. If using a high powered engine and setting up mechanics to get a lot of 3D throw, they may be a little weak, but still likely wouldnt cause a loss of the model, youd more likely get some blowback on aileron and rudd.
