yup

After the OK button hit, the ctrl-v approach works. But WAIT - after editing to add this text the link NO LONGER WORKS.<br type="_moz" />

Fast Reply<div></div><div>ctrl-v: <span style="font-family: 'Segoe UI'; white-space: pre; ">http://www.airfieldmodels.com/site_map.htm</span></div><div><font face="'Segoe UI'"><span style="white-space: pre;">nope</span></font></div><div><font face="'Segoe UI'"><span style="white-space: pre;">hyperlink: http://www.airfieldmodels.com/site_map.htm</span></font></div><div><font face="'Segoe UI'"><span style="white-space: pre;">nope

Em, in the text editor neither approach appeared to work. After pockin' the OKbutton both links work - go figure.

Now let's see if the links still work after editing the message with nonsense text. And they appear to work ...<br type="_moz" /></span></font></div>

Summary - if you use Safari on Win 7 - use the hyperlink button. Use Ctrl-v at your own risk.
