Thumbs up Still Going Strong

The weather was good in Louisiana and the Raptor got to take a flight. Its a Raptor 30 V1 nitro in mint condition, and flies great with low head speed. Does anyone else you know flies RAPTORS? Have a good summer and be safe ,all helicopters can be dangerous.

Default Count me in

I still am flying these awesome helis! Glad to see you are too. I am up in Wisconsin so was finally warm enough yesterday to fly my Raptor 50 V2. Even after sitting all winter was easy starting with the onboard Push-Glo. I recently acquired a Raptor 30 V1 in like new condition. Just got the hobbywing BEC and spektrum rx for it so should have it ready this week. These are my favorite helis even though I have had a Trex 500 FBL and currently have a Trex 450L Dominator 6S. They are just solid flyers and dependable. Can do any 3D I want to throw at. I like to do smooth 3D/sport flying so I'm sure the 30 will be perfect for having the extra flight time. How long have you had your Raptor? I got my 50 about 4 years ago. Never plan on getting rid of mine!

Got the Raptor 30 fully stuffed and ready to go. Hope to do a test flight today weather permitting. With this being a V1 I hope I don't get the dreaded woof.

I was finally able to get the 30 out after the weather cleared. Only did a quick hover. Very stable for being a v1 R30. That may be due to it having the black paddles, and I am used to the green ones on my 50. The OS32 started and ran great. I realize i have been spoiled by the PushGlo onboard glow driver, so i bought one for the 30. I will try to post some pics when I get a chance.

I'm still flying a 30V2, two 50V2s (one a scale MD530), 50 titan and a 90. Gotta say i worry every time I send one up considering the lack of parts availability nowadays.

NitroEddie,
I saw your post and will say that I have a mix of TT parts for both the 30/50 that I will sell as you might need. I have flown my TT 50 and a Gohbi 50 (which is a knockoff of the TT 50 as you probably know) but stopped flying heli's around 5 years ago. If you are interested, I'll send photos off the parts that you need.
John

NE,
I could not find the part you referenced. Most of the parts I have are for the 30/50 version.

I still have a few old raptors. I'd like to get my old 90SE flying again, it's as I left it 10 years ago. They were always extremely reliable!

HI Collin,
I have some parts but they are a mix of 30/50 and I don't think I have parts for your 90. Could you list just exactly what you need? Maybe I can find what you need.

Hi John,

Luckily it's as I retired it 10 years ago. It's sitting on a shelf ready to go - just need to throw a radio program at it and go.

I've 2 v1 - 30's both converted to v2's however I've got clutch bells, liners and other parts for v1 ... don't know if that's of relevance

Flydawg, I’ll keep in touch since we both still have parts for the bird. I’ve yet to get my 50 back in the air but it’s coming.
