Default Raptor V1 30 Starter shaft keeps stripping

I have a question regarding the starter shaft in my raptor with the 46 conversion. I keep stripping the starter shaft. I tightened the hex cap that goes on top with the force of god this time and thread locked it. The thing still eventually strips. Are there any conversions out there for the starter shaft? Anyone else experienced this before? Any solutions?

Thanks
JKru

Mornin....

I am in the process of upgrading my 30V2. I have done lots of research but not come across anything that suggests that the starter shaft will require uprading.

Not sure what you mean by stripping the starter shaft...

The 50V2 hex head on the starter shaft has two set screws that screw down onto two flat spots on the starter shaft. I just used some Loctite on the set screws and have not had any problems with mine yet (53 flights later)...

Is the 30V2 starter shaft different from this??

Mornin...

As with my 30v2 now converted to 50v2, your description is spot on... no difference....

Yep, the top of the shaft has two flat spots for the set screws to seat against... this page doesn't show it, but mentions it in the text:

The hex fitting on top that screws on to the shaft has two set screws in it. Those two screws tighten down on a flat spot on the shaft. If you have it in the wrong place, you will tighten it down on a round spot and it will let go. Make sure you have it on the flat spot.
