Default What servos for beginner - Rap V1.0 30

Hello,

I am just starting in the heli world. Can I use Hitec 425BB on my raptor? Is it safer to get other servos? Do I need to get a faster servo for the throttle?

Thanks,

Le fou

those servos will be fine for learning on a rap 30. don;t need a faster servo for the throttle its a myth. =)

I am using 322+422s on mine R30v1. Works all right for simple hovering, FF.
But do get a quick servo for your tail.. e.g. GY401+9253 will hold the tail very steady.

would the JR 537's be ok for a Raptor 30? The radio bundle at my local shop has these with them, was wondering if they'd do ok. I'm definately going with the 401/9253 combo for the gyro, heard waaay too many good things about that to not do it.

the 537 is also prety good for the tail. Modern HH gyros like the GY401 and 240 really don't need high speed servos to do the job. mine holds fine, even in reverse flight.
