Pitch Help.
I have no clue what is wrong. I'm trying to set up my raptor 50 and can't get the pitch right. At idle I want 0...at half stick I want 5...and at full throttle I want 9 (or so says Raptor Technique). Put a pitch gauge on one blade and I get -3, 7, 17. Put it on the other blade and you get 4,12, and off the scale. Someone please help me out.

RE: Pitch Help.
Matt,
I had it set up before by a local flyier, but when I crashed it, I replaced the main shaft. I never touched any linkage. Now it is all wrong. The linkage should all be the same length. Could I have installed something upside down, backwards, or wrong??

Did you replace your feathering spindle? It's the shaft that rons through your blade holders to keep them on the rotor block. If its bent (and usually is if the main shaft is) the you need to replace it. Quick way to check it, pull off both main blades and turn it with an allen wrench, if either of your blade holders wobble at all its shot.

Yup, replaced that too. New flybar rod as well. Think I might have it licked...but now the tail rotor will only move in 1 driection (left). Battery is dying, so maybe that is the reason. Will charge it up, and try again.

RE: Pitch Help.
Another reason for that is if you are using wood blades, one or both could be warped. This has happend to me and my friends. If thats the case I suggest going with either glass, or carbon blades.

RE: Pitch Help.
I do have on wood blades. Can they warp that much and still look "normal" to the naked eye. The difference between the two were WAY off. I just shortened one of the long rods (the ones you use to track the blades), and they are now both the same. Have not tried to fix the tail rotor yet. Will try to get to that tonight. Thanks for everyones suggestions and help. Keep them comming
