Servo Torque for raptor 60
I was thinking of getting a Raptor 60 v2 with OS .70, and was wondering how much torque should my servos have and any advice on speed will be helpful. Will a gy401 with a 9254 be ok for the tail i think it will be fine. I currently have a raptor 30 running it with out a govornor should i get one for the 60. Any info will be very helpful.
Thanks

RE: Servo Torque for raptor 60
I would say any decent 70oz servo will work good. I personally would not use anything cheaper than a coreless Futaba 9202. The 401 gyro will work fine for now but later you may want to upgrade to the 601. You really don't need a Gov on the 60 but it won't hurt. I am using one from my Raptor 50 and I like it.

RE: Servo Torque for raptor 60
Thanks for that advice. Is there any reason the 601 would be better than the 401. Just tring to see what the total investment will be if i don't upgrade later and maybe get it know.
Thanks again

RE: Servo Torque for raptor 60
More or less the 601 just holds the tail better and can handle the torque of the larger engines. I used a 401 on my 60 for a couple seasons and never had any problems but I did notice a difference when i switched to the 601. If you aren't really doing crazy 3D then the 401 will be fine.
