instructor/advice needed in Philly or central NJ area
I just purchased a raptor 30 V2 today and will be picking it up tomorrow. It comes 100% complete with a Futaba 8 channel radio and servos with a 401 gyro and 9253 tail servo. I'll be looking for someone willing to teach me in the Philadelphia area. I could also fly out around the Trenton, NJ area on Sundays if need be too.
I am aware of the pilot locators online, but I know with flying rc planes not all "instructors" know what they are doing and could end up causing more harm than good. I don't like just choosing an instructor off a list randomly and sending them an email. I thought maybe there might be some locals on this board.
It would be great if i could find someone familiar with the raptor and the listed equipment since i'm 100% new to helis. I could also use my jr8103 heli radio if it matters.
I doubt I'll be able to find some locals, but i thought it was worth a shot. Thanks for reading.

Did you check the [link=http://www.pilotlocator.net/index.php]Pilot Lcator[/link], you should be able to find someone on there that will give you a hand getting setup, just send them an email and ask.

yeah, i think i'm going to have to try and find some local hobby shops and try and find some info on where some good heli guys fly. the only problem is i don't think there are any decent shops around here.
thanks guys.

I emailed my buddy up there that lives in Hatboro. I wanted to check with him before I gave out his contact info, if he gets back to me and its cool I'll put you guys in touch.
Other than that you might try JC Hobbies in Warminster, thats where I used to get all my stuff when I lived up there.

awesome, thanks a lot! it's definitely nice to find someone that's reccommended rather than picking a name off a list. thanks again.
