Creeping Raptor........
I am currently trying to get my raptor off the ground. When it is just ready to leave the dirt it wants to lean to the right. Is this a normal occurance?

My hellie is also creeping !
Do you have any advice on the setup regarding the Futaba GY401 Gyro. My radio is the JR X378. I can use AVCS mode, but HH is just not there. if I input left/Right roll, the nose does not fix a heading, but rather a piont about 10m ahead of the hellie???? roll right = left nose yaw. I must always put in left tail rotor (Nose right). I know hellies need input always, but this ir rediculous.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

Creeping Raptor........
Darrinscottreed, get some help from a competent heli pilot, to trim and tune it for you. Otherwise, you'll be fixing it on your first day!

I agree with rchelial
I agree with rchelial...
A few years ago, I decided to try and fly my first heli by myself, after 20 years of flying planes. It was a brand new Vigor and I was so excited to see if I could fly it. I didnt seek the help of an experienced heli pilot. Well, 3 minutes (and $700) later, the heli was in at least one million pieces after almost chopping me up, and hitting a parked car, and I had the dis-pleasure of having to buy a new kit to replace the parts that disintegrated. Helis are fun, but they can be unpredictable and unstable within a seconds time especially if your gyro or radio are not set up right.
Seek help before you make a costly mistake. Most heli flyers are glad to help, and will help you get it flying right which will enhance your enjoyment and safety.
A word to the wise is sufficient.
