Default 30V2 engine

Hello all,

Of recent my V2 has been giveing me some problems. First the clutch which i got fixed. Now the engine is doing some weird stuff. some info: it leaks oil from everywhere it seems, not just the exhaust. the connection joints for the muffler where it connects to the engine all leak oil very bad. I cant tell if the head is leaking because i dont know if its comming from the engine-muffler connection or the head because its all stained. The ngine smooks alot which i consider normal. However I think its overheating. Reason is when I first crank it up untill about 5-10mins into flight the engine seems to run fine. Then it slowly looses power to a point where it will get light on the skids but can not take off. the Needle is about 4 to 4 1/2 turns out. If you need any more info i will do my best to provide it. thanks for any help.

Knowing the engine brand/size would help ...

fwiw, my tt39 ran great...but i pulled it, and now use an os37szh...runs much better, although it's a little thirstier for fuel...btw, i use all-synthetic, so it's hard to see if there are any leaks...you might have to drop the engine and take it apart to see if you have a pinched gasket or loose bolts...to get started, just get your 3mm driver, and pop off the throttle linkage....ken

Anyone at all have any suggestions for me on this problem? Do I just replace the engine and throw this one out? is it a tuning problem? Anything at all? Thanks....

well, if it's leaking too much, I don't think it's a tunning problem, specially it was running good before, do what ken said, check out for the gaskets and all the bolts, maybe they are not properly tighted, if that doesn't solve the problem, you should consider replacing it, I know it's possible to fix an engine but if you are not very familiar with the motors, maybe it's better to get a OS32 or OS37 (this one is much better), I personally had a TT39, starting to have tunning problems, a bearing broke after, I just replaced it with an used OS32 and my heli is alive again, you will be surprised how easy is to tun OS engines and how well they perform....

Thanks for the info. Ill give all that a try Hopefully it fixes it. As it is so much more fun to fly than my Falcon 3D.
