Default os .37 szh

hi ,i ve heard so many good things about the os .37 szh ,is it really that much better than the tt pro .39 that comes with the rapter 30,also is it a direct fit into the rapter 30,will the muffler from the .39 fit the os .37,if there is that much of a difference ill get the .37 or should i stay with the .39,ive had os engines in my trucks and loved them, but since the .39is new should i just give it a try,is it really that bad, thanks

Is it better? Yes, absolutely, and its more consistent. Some people have nothing but headaches with the 39s, some of them run great. The 37 has a wider usable tuning range and a ton of power.
Direct fit? Yes.
Muffler will fit but the 37 loves a large volume muffler like the Hatori SAB6Rs to get the most out of it.
Most people that have switched are very pleased

I love my OS .37 szh with Hatori SAB6RS. Most guys think it's .50 when they see it on the air. tons of power.

I just put one in my raptor .30 v2 pro and It is twice the motor than the .39 TT but no matter what the brand If you don't look at the little things the motor will quit, like mine did, fuel filler line fell off header tank, brap, crash, Visa, wife Nag, nag, nag, and in that order good luck.

I am VERY impressed with the engine's performance. I think I do not need more for the moment. I am using a revolution muffler (36bucks) and I'll get the HATORI6 pipe maybe after, I do not think I really need it now, with the rev muffler has an amazing power, I do not doubt that it will have more with the hatori pipe but my skills do not require more so far, thanks Barracuda for all the advices....

I am running my engine at 190F, 15% cool power, I wanted to get 30% but prices are rising too much for my pocket, I'll stay with the 15%. Last week a friend gave me 2 tanks of 30% and I had to rich it out, I noticed it runned cooler (160F), but I noticed it burned faster the fuel!!!!, I'll keep the 15%.

By the way, I am getting 2040RPM at 0 pitch, is it too much or is it ok??? I do not want that it blows out in the air! I am using helimax carbon blades.

I traded A SNAP-ON flexhead torque wrench brand new (been in shop for a while), for a Shuttle zxx with brand new .37 szh and revolution pipe, one set of flat bottom blades, and a set of stock Raptor .30 woodys... Ya he got a hell of a deal But I got a mint condition zxx just like my first heli, When I turned 16, I'm 29 now and have wanted to have one on my shelf AGAIN Good Show!

matador_24...That's little on the hide side for the OS .37, if it was .50 Hyper I was say that's good. I would recommend keeping it down around 1850-1900 loaded. That 2040 is no load, I doubt the OS .37 can turn that with a load for long without over straining the engine.

but it is 2040 without load (on the ground), I guess that with load (flying/hovering) the RPM will decrease, I just do not know what % or to what RPM, nobody wanted to aproach to the heli while hovering and nobody had a long distance optic tachometer so I couldn't check that..... maybe under it decreases to 1800-1900, what do you think?
