Default Raptor 50 Tail rotor pushrod clips

I am sure I am not the only one who doesn't like that fact that the 3 boom clips " float " where ever they want to. Does anyone want to share what they do to keep them in place, ie Glue etc. etc.

Thanks
Joe

I used a piece of nylon wire tie slipped under the clip & trimmed so as not to be visible.

If you leave them loose you risk getting your tail control rod being stuck which would lead to some "interesting" tail action some use tie wraps stuck under the guides, some ca them. Tired both, prefer ca but you really need to use only a drop. Anything more and it will be a pain to get off...

I use CA, works great, AND I like how easy they slide off the boom for maintenance.

On my Raptor#2 I use bathroom silicon sealant. It sticks them in place well, but does not cause embrittlement. Easy to remove too.

JR make a very nice boom tail rod guide That are adjustable and are easily clamped in place with cable ties.

The pic shows them unfolded, they wrap around the tail boom. Far better than the TT ones.

But, I much prefer using a boom mounted tail servo (Raptor #1) that doesn't need them.

I small plasitc zip ties to hold mine in place. I use one tie in front of the guide, and one tie behind. Quick and simple. This keeps them from sliding up/down the boom. The tail rotor pushrod keeps the guids from rotating around the boom and allows the guids to find the position that causes the least amount of friction on the TR rod.

I'm not doing anything wild flight wise, so I'm not sure if this set up would be ok if I were doing crazy 3D. No problems thus far with basic aerobatcis - flips, rolls, loops, piro's etc.
