Newbe needs some tips!!
Hi all
Before I start I just want to say I am totaly mad about my Raptor 30 v2, I am like a kid again!!
I have had my V2 up about 12, times now and can already hover well and also fly away and then back to myself (nose out). I have had a go at flying nose left and then right but I'm finding it hard, so I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to master this stage of my flying??
thanks in advance!!
yours Dom

I'm not asking you to spend money, but aside from the big fish with the sharp teeth's suggestion I find that recommending a simple cheap coaxial for the sake of learning orientation can help a lot. I'm going to get into the benefits of working with the raptor vs the habits you might develop using a coax, it's just a possibility. But a big YES, burn fuel.

Hi Dominic 40
As suggested before, lots and lots of air time. But remember that only doing 1 or 2 tanks every weekend or so will slow your progress down alot. Fly atleast 5 or 6 flights in a day as only after the 2nd or 3rd tank do you start to relax. Space, time, fuel, patience and altitude are you friends in this hobby. learning orientations can be done is so many ways, I "control" the nose of my Raptors by thinking what I want the nose to do. others use the skids, rotor disk, exhaust or tail but virtually every part of the heli can be used. It take time for you to "feel" what comfortable for you to do. Have fun and fly safe.
Cheers

Get a sim! I use Phenix it has the Raptor 30 v2 and you can fly your brains out and never have to buy fuel or parts. It also has a great training option that teaches you how to hover. My flying skills improved very quickly with the use of a sim. I went from not hovering worth a crud to forward flight and tricks in a month and a half just by flying an hour or nine a day on the sim.

I just got my first nitro Heli too! The Raptor 30 v2 as well. I have to agree with you it is a great heli. Everyone is always telling me I should have gotten a 50 but I love how it is just floats and you can just fly it around gentle like. It reminds me of my Kadet Senior 40 I had as a kid when I first learned to fly planks. It is just relaxing. When I want to learn crazy 3D I will get a Trex 600 or 700. Right now I like my relaxed Raptor 30.
