Default Panel Lines For My Corsair

I have a Squadron Signal book that has a page with a picture of panel lines! I was wondering if I could take that page and blow it up or enlarge it to 1/8th scale and lay it against the plane to copy the lines. Has anyone done this before? and if so how or who can blow up the page to the 1/8th size?

Try a Kinko's Copy Center. They can do most stuff.

Default Pannel Lines

Save your money, No need to go to kinkos. Your plane will most likely only be close to the dimensions that the 3 views you have. Remember you are working on a curved surface while the 3 views are flat. The dimensions will not fit. A better solution will be to determine what scale ratio there is between the drawings and the model say they a 5 to one. Most likely there is a center spar. Locate that on your wing then draw it on the model then reference everything from that line. Use a divider and pick off the dimensions from the drawing and then mark on your model. This will get you very close. If you are into competition you would be suprised how many guys do the pannel lines so it matches the drawing and then fudge to get everything to work out even. Only you will know how the pannel lines were located.
Perhaps one of the biggest frustrations in scale modeling is figuring out these relatively simple items that make the model carry the wow factor.
