Default Question on Hobby Poxy catalysts & paint

Possibly the wrong place for this but I wondered if anyone out there was still using any of the older 2 part paint finishes, primers etc.

Cheers,
Mike

Yes, I still have a few cans of Hobby Poxy paint and activator. I'm told that Klass Kote is essentially the same and I have used the white Klass Kote and believe it is the same, at least it does a perfect job just like Hobby Poxy did. I've been told that, if you do not have the Hobby Poxy hardener, you can use Klass Kote part B instead but I have not tried it. To bad about Hobby Poxy, IMHO that was the best epoxy paint for our RC use that ever was available, could apply with a brush and no brush strokes as well as you could thin it and spray.

Actually I wasn't looking for some.
I have some & wondered if it was worth listing. It's all I used to use (really amazing paint), but my favorite finishing methods have changed some, and wondered if there was anyone out there interested.
If so I'll list everything I have.
Cheers,
Mike

I painted quite a few planes with Hobbypoxy years ago. I've since gone back to dope and will be trying out latex house paint as well. I've still got some paint and thinners laying around but I think I'm out of hardener.

Hobby Poxy and Klass Kote are great products. I used them exclusively on my racing boats. On prop planes I now use Stits and on my jets I use auto paint like PPG or Transtar. A word of caution. Once the epoxy catalyst has been opened, use it all, soon. I found that it yellows quite a bit with age and a nice bright white Part A mixed with aged Part B will mix up as an off white.
