Default Working on MY old Patriot 40 Kit

HI,
I am in the process in giving my Patriot 40 kit a new look, I got all the covering off ok, BUT! I am skeptical about removing the Tail control surfaces, since it has that internal control Horn set up! does anyone have any easy Ideas on how to remove them and re install them? or just try to cover them installed?

I always covered my control surfaces installed. Never had a problem with that.
