Default Substitute for Ironex?

Coverite has stopped or is about to stop selling Ironex. Anybody know of a good substitute? Tower Hobbies suggests Monokote trim solvent, which doesn't seem quite right, though I've never used it and may be wrong about that.

Do you just want to clean your iron? Acetone works well for that.

Thanks, guys! When my last jar of Ironex runs out I'll try lacquer thinner first, I guess, since I've got lots of it already.

Guys,
Dope thinner has always worked for me. It even removes epoxy finger prints that have dried.

Dryer sheets work very well to remove residue from a hot iron, just wipe the sole of the iron with a dryer sheet, be careful though the iron has to be hot. bhady

I set the iron on low and use acetone on paper towels. I you using a cover sock? This helps keep the iron clean. Dryer sheets usually have fabric softener in them, I would think this would leave its own residue behind.
