Default Painting tips wanted

I "sketched" directly on my fuse the paint scheme till I liked it. How can I "record' the lines to replicate them exactly when painting ? And how to copy symmetrically for the other side ? Measuring seems not practical due to curves. Thanks

Put tracing paper over the area and copy it.
Flip the tracing paper to do the other side.

What Jenny says and/or just use your eyeballs when laying out your tape lines. You will be surprised how accurate you can be.

If there is much more to your trim scheme than a couple of lines, it's good practice to establish a center line to work off of. The root of the vertical stab to the centerline of the nose is pretty standard. That way, you can tape your tracing paper with its straight edge on that line, measuring how far back or forward you are, and then just flip it over to lay out the lines for the other side. Keep your tracings too or make new ones when it is all done. There is nothing worse than having to make repairs later and having to do all of that layout work again.

Thanks Jester, good idea.

One more thing, I have a white gel coat fuse, what kind of "pen" should I be using for marks without risking a problem with the paint finish ?
