Default Custom Woodcraft Flight Box - foam padding replacement

I have found a foam padding that is virtually an exact replacement for the original. I searched high and low for a padding that would fit in the cradle slots. The supplier is threeriverssupply.com and it is windlace round rubber with kraft, part # 1/2 RWK. Their phone is 412-461-2156. These flight boxes are great when you happen to be flying at a field without tables and benches.

I bought some cheap pipe insulation from Home Depot to replace worn-out cradle foam.

That's what I use, too.

Also thanks to T.Moth. I've had the box for years, and was searching for the windlace also for a long time. Got close on many occasion, but, now to your efforts I will be able to replace the old, cracked sponge rubber.

I look at these boxes as functional art. The thought that went into designing the adjustable top cradle is is ingenious. I just wanted to keep it as original as possible. I don't know how many variations on the interior were made. I have seen a couple. Mine has the center section with drawers and the tote at the bottom and then the right section is all drawers and the left side open. I looked for a while before I found this one. If you are into vintage R/C, you can't beat it.
