Hello!!!
I'm building a CAmodel Extra 300L 2360mm (31%). It's TOP HINGED.
I've read in some manuals and forums that I should seal the control surface gaps, but I haven't found any info about what is this process exactly.
What I have to do? How I have to do it? What I have to do it with?
Do you have any photos/ draws/ instructions...?
Thank you very much

What that means, simply , is to cover the small gap at the front edge of the control surface to prevent airflow between the control surface and the wing (or tailplane). This helps reduce flutter at high airspeeds. You can come from underneath the surface ( more aesthetic) or go on top with a very carefully cut piece of whatever your plane is covered with and iron it on. Either way, be VERY sure that this strip does not impede control surface travel in either direction.

Sealing the gap with your covering material makes for a better finish. I have also used Scotch Crystal Clear tape and works very well, but you have to apply it carefully to avoid small bubbles.

Make sure surface is fully deflected before applying covering. Had an ultimate that was incorrectly done, would barely roll either way because sealing material was limiting aileron travel and stressing servos.
