Default Matching up multiple servo leads

Here's a technique I use to match up servo leads when I have more than just ailerons to connect. In this case it's on a new twin fuselage Sky Raider, the T-Raider, where I have to connect rudder, elevator and throttle to extensions from the receiver in the center wing. Instaed of taped on labels that can get dirty and obscured or rolled up and hard to read, I use colored zip-ties. Here I have used white, black and red. All I need to do to hook up is match colors.

I saw a similar scheme thats also works well - have a few different colors of paint and paint each matching pair a unique color. That also eliminates having to read fiddly labels.

Safe Flying!

I had jury duty Thursday and they had a few issues of RCM available. Someone had submitted the 'tie wrap' method to their "For What It's Worth" section. I'm going to try it on my Uproar 60 (my first plane with dual aileron servos).

Even with color-coded connectors, one can still plug them up wrong if not paying attention. BTDT, and I bet a lot of folks have done it as well.

I plug everything together and make sure all the moving bits go the right direction. Then I put a dab of silicon adhesive on two fuse connectors and two wing connectors, and clamp the whole assembly together lightly. When the adhesive has cured the paired connectors can be unplugged _and they can't be plugged back in wrong_.

To me, KISS means figuring out how to prevent me shooting myself in the foot 'cuz I will if I can.
