I was trying to get some aliphatic resin into a tight spot today, the bottle nozzle was just too fat. Suddenly I had an idea. I have some hypodermic syringes lying around ( I use them to re ink my printer cartriges honest!) I put some glue into one of these and it worked a treat. I can put just enough glue into the exact spot I need it. When I am not using it I put the needle into a bit of cork and it is all sealed up and ready for next time.

You can buy glue applicators at any of the good woodworking store. You can get them with either a metal or plastic tip.

Go to your local Dentist and ask him for 'Oraject' syringes. They have a curved plastic tip, and are used to 'eject' food out between teeth. They also work great to apply glue. I have one filled with Titebond, one with Poly glue, and one with water in it. Dentist's just might give them to you.

Hi All I’ve been using them for years. Find your self a small plastic bottle and cut a hole in the lid that is about the same diameter as your syringe. Place an inch or so of water in the jar and store the syringe in the jar. Just draw the unused glue back a bit in the tip and you can store the glue like this for months….. bert

Online dental supply places have these for about $0.55 each qty 50.

Like many I have been using syringes for applying glue in difficult to reach locations. Here in Australia I have found veterinary supplies to be much cheaper source than those supplying for human use. I think it is owing to less rigid standards of sterilisation leading to a cheaper unit cost.
