Default Got Starter ???

I have a Hobbico TorqMaster 180 starter. Recently I found that on a cold day (about 45 degres F) it would not spin my OS 1.60FX through compression when the engine was cold. The starter was jumped off my truck battery. I had to use a chicken stick and MANY, MANY flips to get the engine started.

Now I know that some of you have an electric starter and don't even realize it.

After a bit of "serious thinking" (ouch, that hurts) I found a great solution. I mounted an old starter cone on an appropriate size bolt (cut the head off) and chucked it in my Makita 12 volt cordless drill. Guess what, the drill turns the cold OS 1.60 with ease. Let's get running and stop flipping. :spinnyeye
