Hello All...I'm sure this has been covered a 1000 times, but I need to ask. What household products (if any) can be used to seal the seams of monokote type covering? For example, a stripe on a wing made of a different color covering. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just thought I'd add the reason for needing to seal the monokote to itself. I just covered a set of floats that already were covered...I just needed them to be a different color! The tops and sides are now silver and the bottoms are red....(good visibility!) anyway, I need to be sure that the red is sealed to the grey...any ideas ?

I have had luck with laquer thinner wipped lightly across the adhesive side of the trim film. Lay it in place over the other covering adhesive side down, there are a few seconds there that you can slide it around before it starts setting the adhesive. I have only used this on stripes 3/8" or less. No experience with bigger pieces yet ....
