Default Gluing the Horizontal Stabilizer

Hi. I've built several airplanes in my short experience of this great hobby. But I am wondering how you guys glue your horizontal stabilizers onto your fuselage without it slipping. A friend glued his and it was off 1/4" from the distance from the building table to the tail. How do you guys secure the stabilizer so it won't slip?? Thanks.

It depends on the model and materials. Sometimes I use straight pins through the horizontal stab to hold until the epoxy dries. Or I sometimes use quickgrip clamps to hold it in place.

I generally pin it down and then use blue painter's masking tape to make sure it stays exactly level. I use line levels on each side of the stab and one on the fuse.
