Default Prather engine drill jig

The pics are of a nice little item that I have had around for years. I believe it was made by Prather. As far as I know these are not made anymore but I wish they were. The one shown is for a K&B 40 and I also have one for a Veco 19.

Great Planes has a handy little device called the Dead Center with a 1/16" drill bit and a cone on the end to center it in any hole. I found it to be as useful as any jig and I can use it on any engine and for stuff like servos and brackets.

I have one of those but I liked using the jig. Made nice vertical holes.

Thanks for the pics of a handy little device. I've used other methods for drilling the holes before, but might opt to make me a drill jig on my Smithy for the next drilling project. Even though I can do my drilling on the mill/drill, this device would make it a lot easier and faster.
