Default Latex Paint

Has anyone determined the best type of latex paint to use? I know it has to be exterior, but what are the best brands?

Default Latex Paint

Brands do not seem to matter, as long as you stick with the major ones. I had been using Sherwin Williams, but reading some chatter in the forums about Behr exterior latex, I decided to give it a try. It was almost twice the price for a pint that Sherwin Williams was. I didn't like it and went back to Sherwin Williams. I used the flat exterior latex. It gives a very realistic finish to a WWII warbird, but it shows every scuff mark. Some people would argue that this is also realistic, I would ni=ot disagree. I think the next plane I paint will be with semi-gloss, or satin, as it dries to a smoother finish. Follow the article that was in Model Airplane News and you will do alright.

Some have suggested interior latex, as it has a higher gloss, and somewhat smoother finish. I would not suggest it, as it lacks the durability of the exterior grade.
