Default Dope and thinner mixing

Not looking for brand names. I'm looking for a better way to do the mixing. Right now I pour stix-it from the can into a mixing cup, then the thinner. Thinner goes in good enough, but the stix-it gets in the cans lip and eventually makes it hard for the lid to get a good seal. Any ideas for scooping or funneling?

You might try punching some holes in the bottom of the seal groove so that the Stix-it can drain back into the can. Just an idea. It may/may not work, but it might be worth a try. You can also try to remove as much as possible from the groove with a paint brush or something similar.

Been doing the brush in the lip. The hole punch in the groove is a good idea. How about transfering the stix-it to a glass jar with a lid. Is there any reason it cant sit in a clear glass jar?
