Default RE: How do you designate servo connections?

i came up with the same color coding system different colors but same concept. I have a chart on mine on the wall that lists what channels are designated what color. I had to do a chart on mine because I have two different Radios that have different channel assignments. so i strictly have colored tape on each servo lead and the channels are listed on a chart what they are and each control has a color assigned to it.

I like the "color coding" technique, and use a small drop of colored paint on both the male and female plug for each lead. Which color you assign to each lead is pretty much irrelevant, so long as each is unique. For my old, weak eyes, color works better than small print and the paint tends to stay in place better than labels or tapes...

I personally think it's great sport to hook 'em all up without any markings whatsoever. And then just wind it up and go bellowing down the runway. That way, you can either fly or not, the choice is yours. It really seperates the men from the mice...

Seems the only ones that need any kind of indexing would be those disconnected/reconnected every outing like the ailerons and maybe flaps. If I mark any it is usually one of the aileron leads. The other one would not need to be marked to be identified as the 'other' one. Maybe my plane setups are just simpler.
