Default Silicone Fuel Line Rotting !!

Hey Guys,
I bought a 30' roll of silicone fuel line from Tower last year. This year I'm having trouble with my planes and I find out that the tubing has turned to Gummy Bear consistancy! I've never seen this before and I've been flying for over 20 years.

My fuel is 15%/18% Byron.
Can someone recommend a good fuel line brand?

I use K & S's three sizes of clear & Du-Bro for the others . Tygon (yellow) ,Silicone ( in different colors) & their black neoprene . Used them for years with no trouble like you are having . Good shopping ! Max H.

big max, can the neoprene be used with glow fuel? If so, how does it compare to silicone fuel lines.

Du-Bro says it can be used for diesel, gasoline & GLOW fuel. That's the way I have been using it ,for all three. Max H.

Last week I had the same gummy experience with the dip tube in my 1 gallon bottle. Not sure of the origin of the tube. This is the first time I have seen this problem

I've also had it in my fuel Bottle. That I might be able to understand. It's the line coming off the tanks that suprised me. The lines weren't on fr three months and they're junk. I've since had to change everything.
I think you may get what you pay for.

I'm thinking you're right on the "get what you pay for".

I had the same thing happen to me . I sent that fuel line back and bought some prather(sp) and it has been great even when left submerged in the jug of fuel.
