To keep rolls of covering from going all over the place [:@] Cut a piece of the center tubing , split down one side and snap over roll better than rubber bands

Good idea then throw them behind the books on a shelf to store them until u need them
( one shelf for covering rolls one for spare riflescopes)

I never thought of that but it does keep them from rolling all over the work bench when you are trying to cut pannels.

If you cut out about a 1/4-1/2" from the tube you can unroll the covering with out removing the tube
