Default what paint???

I have to paint the cowl of a cub in the military scheme. Lustre coat isn't made in olive drab. What over the counter paint is nitro proof? is it Rust-oloeum or just a laqure (sp) base paint that I am looking for ?

Nitroproof. Klasskote Epoxy paint. Check out Klasskote. www.klasskote.com. If you know the FS number for the paint, they might be able to mix up a custom colour for you.

Nelson Hobby Specialties matches monocoat and ultracoat coverings. I'm about to order some olive drab ultracoat to recover a H9 P-40.

I just finished my GP P-47 in military drab colors. I usred Rust-oloeum Camofloge colors, After i let that dry for a few days, I used Lustercote clear over it. The first coat of clear I used very little paint to make sure it didn't bubble it. And let the first coat DRY good. then put more coats on. Worked great.good luck

thanks for the reply(s). I've been on the Klass Coat site and have ordered a small sample of the Olive Drab as a trial. Years back I did a Smith Mini Plane with epoxy and it came out pretty good. I think I will be pleased in the long run if I stick with what I know will work even if it is a little on the pricey side.

Not sure if you can find it anymore. But 21st century has a Olive Drab in a rattle can
