This will be my first build I will use the Robart Hinge Points, and I will be covering with fiberglass.
My question's are:
Do I drill and prep for the hinges prior to glassing?
If prep is done first, how should I protect the holes from filling with resin from glassing?

Hi,
Prep as in adding balsa to the depth of the hinge on the inside of the trailing edge if necessary, otherwise finish and then add the hinge points as per the sticky at the head of this section.
Cheers,
Colin

I'm using them for hte first time but just going with ultracote for covering and I love them. A little more work than CA hinges but move sooooo much smoother. I'm using expoxy to secure them in the holes and I made test pieces first so I wouild know exactly how to do it. Pulling on both sides with pliers.. the hinge broke before it pulled out of the wood.
