Hidden cowl mount ideas
Im am looking for ways to mount my cowl of my corsair with a Saito .72. I want to mount it without screwing it in from the side of the cowl if anyone has any ideas let me know.

I've seen installations where an "L" bracket is permanently attached to the cowl and screws are inserted with a LONG screwdriver thru the front opening of the cowl into the firewall. Works specially well with round cowls like the Corsair.

I use magnets, here is a sample from my Waco. The fuse side and the cowl side both have magnets, very strong. I did the Corsair 60 size and giant the same way.

You might look at the manual for the Great Planes 25% Yak 54 ARF. It uses a cowl ring that glues to the cowl and then screws to the front of the firewall. It uses a very long allen wrench to reach the fasteners, but everything is securely fastened and well hidden. A very good solution.
