Hello everyone. I still have my old Tyco Half-Traxx that still works great. But with it not being digital proportional, it is extremely hard to control. Especially in high gear. I've done some research in the past on ESCs, receivers, and steering servos but never pulled the trigger.

What I'd like to do is keep using 9.6v batteries but upgrade everything else (ESC,RX,Servo) except the motor. Why?

1. Because they make them in NiMH and have comparable mAh to Litium or LiPo.
2. I really want to avoid doing ANY cutting or chassis modifications.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!
