RE: how to weather my FJ
by weathering you mean waterproofing?
I guess there is no need of waterproofing the axles of a New Bright...water will still find a way in and motors will get hot without air vents. Seal well where electrics are but deep wading is never advisable. With mine, without any water proofing i did go axle deep into water but not more and did not have trouble. If its muddy water you will get mud into the axle gearings and motors though, which is not good.
hope this helps

RE: how to weather my FJ
I would take some hot glue and coat the control board with it.
next take the hot glue and try to seal up the cracks leading into the gearbox
I would seal the whole gearbox thing (including the vent)
Maby take some air tubeing and use that for cooling the motor.
don't take it to deap in water mine had a VERYhard time with watter only up to the rim (bout 1 in)
I don't know how big yours is............. mine runs on 4AA batteries (recargables with 2500 mili amp hours)
and im working on a very nice car.... I hope for somting quite fast....... way faster than a walmart moddle
but made with stuff off walmarts shelf..................... parted out rc recivers and transmiters....... motors pulled out of drils and old rc cars..
........ wish i could fix a few of my cars. One of them was my favorite. and i needed a new sevro for the front. instead of buying a new one (the hobby shop near me was not there at this time) So i destroyed the gearbox while parting out the motor..... and killed the chip while trying to get that one out.. anyone know where i could get a new (or used) one
it was a $50 new bright 9.6v baha rc car. it was so powerful it could pop some wheelies.
i soooooo wish it was still arround
any help????
ps good luck watter proofing your rc car
don't use it for too long
u will fry your motor like the burger you ate for lunch
