Default 1958 Corvette 1/10 build , with pics

This 20" Vette began life as a Toy grade also. It was completely dismantled.............i mean completely, the body came in several different sections and it kinda went together like a puzzle. Every body panel was sanded and primered to ready it for 3 coats of "classic white" paint. All panels were painted seperately and the body was put back together along with all the chrome trim. It was powered by a little 280 motor and 6 volts. I'll tell you at the end what this was originally. This is my favorite "car" build, as i think it looks so realistic. I had to put a 50's type driver in it for realism...............i found Fonzi on ebay and he fit right in..................the car even came with seat belts and he's strapped down tight.

Mods:

Venom fireball 380 motor
Duratrax sprint ESC
Futaba servo
Futaba receiver
Custom rear spring suspension (see pic)........front has suspension also!
8 cell 2300 AA nimh (yes, i found 2300 mah AA's)

Modding for the servos to fit and work properly is always the toughest part, i would be lost without my dremel. Once the dremel has done its work the servo is slid into the notching and fixed in with epoxy. All my Trans/diffs are torn down and "cleaned up", and i fill the entire case with lithium grease before it is screwed back together.

I cruise this one around the neighborhood (Fonzi drives) and alot of the neighbor women love it.............its the favorite of many of them too(they've all seen my many rc's).

It started out as a "bratz" toy rc car made for Dolls(last pic)............i saw it on ebay and had to have it due to its scale realism

The Vette is cherry!!! Great job!! You should think of a catchy license plate and get your printer into the mix..
