RE: NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU)

HELLO ..
I did a little test, just to assess the strength of my future ((WINCH))

My LAND ROVER, (with 2 battery) at a weight of 13 lbs ..

The winch is behaving very well .. it is very strong ..

Without fatigue, it raises my LAND ROVER, above the floor ..

I have to make a support .. and developed a plan to install on my ((BIG-CRAWLER)

################################################## ###

I put all my efforts on the BIG-CRAWLER, so that it is a good climber..

If BIG-CRAWLER stuck, it would depend may be without the help of another crawler .. :-)

RE: ((BIG-CRAWLER)) NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU-TEXX)

Buy a rc/winch would have been good ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...66244476-1.jpg

but it would be installed in reinforcements and solidify anchorages bumper and frame ..

And this work would have been very difficult ..

I will rather choose to install this ( (HOME-MADE WINCH-INSECTOR )) inside the frame ....:D

RE: ((BIG-CRAWLER)) NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU-TEXX)

I made some plans for the installation of the WINCH ..

I find this site, which seems to me ..

The shaft of the winch, pass completely through the plastic/frame, from one side to the other ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0020TT-1.jpg

I cut both ends of shaft, and installed two strong plastic reinforcements at each end ..

I still have to install a switch that works in both directions ((CENTER-OFF SWITCH TOGGLE DPDT)) I'll find this item at RADIO SHACK (THE SOURCE) ..

RE: ((BIG-CRAWLER)) NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU-TEXX)

I solidify this winch ..
A piece of Plactic (tube), screwed into the floor of the frame under the motor, which prevents the motor back ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0008-4-1.jpg

And one screw to hold it in place.

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0010-5-2.jpg

At each end of the shaft, I screwed two pieces of plastic which solidify the shaft, which crosses the frame ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p..._0002-12-1.jpg

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0005-7-1.jpg

These small pieces from the model 1/10 ..

Small video showing the operation of the ..

(( INSECTOR/ SWITCH/BIG-CRAWLER )) without switch :D:D:D

It will operate with a 7.2 volt battery ..

RE: ((BIG-CRAWLER)) NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU-TEXX)

I have purchased my switch .. I chose the model which automatically returns to center .. DPDT 20-Amp Momentary Flip Switch
$ 4.59 us .. :) $ 7,99 CDN :(
Model: 275-709

Enough switches to make you flip!

Get things started with this DPDT momentary flip switchspring-loaded to return to the center off position. Rated 20 amps at 12VDC.

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0012-1-1.jpg

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...IMG_0014-2.jpg

I will keep your finger on the switch during its operation .. This will be a protection, not to break the wire ..

I do not know if I will keep this bumper ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0048-1-2.jpg

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p.../e087_12-1.jpg

A bumper (metal) smaller, with the roller / guide to install it would be nice ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0019-5-2.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0018-2-3.jpg
I cut and installed temporarily at the place where it will be fixed.

RE: ((BIG-CRAWLER)) NEWBRIGHT JEEP 1/6 MODS (LOULOU-TEXX)

Remove this big body, had a ((BIG))job ..

I fixed this problem by installing plastic rods (solid plastic hanger) ..
The body slips into its old anchors, and it remains in place ..
It is set at the front and rear ..

FRONT ..
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...ex/z01-2-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/z02-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/z04-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/z05-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/Z06-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/Z07-1.jpg

REAR ..
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/X01-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/X02-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...utex/X03-1.jpg

The center of the body, has (2) anchors .. I'll screw a long screw (by cutting off his head) as anchors, and once inserted into its hole, I'll screw (2) nuts/ears by the underside of the frame ..
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0004-8-2.jpg

The body is very solid, and the time to remove it will be shorter .. and less stressful ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...ex/z03-2-1.jpg
http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0003-5-4.jpg

This bumper will be painted in (black) :D

I installed the 4 beadlock (plastic) :( directly on the rim ..

One day I might try, to produce metal ..
:D
The look seems to be a good ..

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p..._0004-10-1.jpg

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0008-7-1.jpg

I also removed the passenger-seat ((For individual crawling )) :)

http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...IMG_0017-1.jpg http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p...G_0015-1-1.jpg

I pasted a sheet of plastic on the floor before installing the carpet. :D
The relocation of the switch, is a good desicion .. The wire congestion is eliminated .. :D
