Biggest 3S Lipos where are they
just bought a Erevo 5608 and looking for the biggest 3S lipos to fit into it that are in stock somewhere.
Got everything else ordered all new:
Traxxas EREVO BE & Castle link filed card minus the TX/RX and Nicad batteries $620.00
DX5e TX and AR600 RX modified for surface use $99.99 - yeah you read that right
Lipo Charger Sky RC B6 Ultimate 400 400W 20A $79.90
PSU for Charger eFuel 30A 9-18V adjustable $119.00
Traxxas parallel 6X charge cable connects up to 6 lipos in parallel $10.04
JST-XH parallel 6X balance cable connects up to 6 lipos in parallel $9.00
Thanks for any help guys. Also it seems to me a lot of people have an erevo, hence why the lipos are scarce, I thought Traxxas was just a little mom and pop shop somewhere in west Texas...lol

RE: Biggest 3S Lipos where are they
I highly recommend the SPC batteries as well. Best batteries out there for the money, imo. I would suggest getting at least (1) 2s battery with your 3s batteries. Get the same specs (same c rating, mAh, etc) as the 3s batteries you buy, and you can run 5s in the ERBE no problem. A good compromise between the raw, barely controllable power of 6s, and the fast but "tame to some" power of 4s.
When you get the field card, set your punch control to at least 40 or 50%. LVC to 3.4v, or no less than 3.2v. If tons of wheelies or backflips are not what you're looking for, adding the optional center diff to the transmission could help reduce strain on the diffs, too.
Good luck with that stick controller, I assume you are using it because you're a pilot?
The rest of your setup looks pretty decent.
6s is a ton of power to put through this chassis. Expect things to break, especially early on while you're trying to learn how to control it.

Yeah that's true Fu! Have fun with that stick controller LOL . Might want to do a chassis brace mod, Center CVD's are good. The drive shaft CVD's Suck. Don't get the outer CVD's. And RPM is a must when you break an arm on 6s Hehe

RE: Biggest 3S Lipos where are they
You guessed right LaTuFu. Im used to flying my helis and the sticks are where it is at for me and my wife. I bought a Rustler VXL about a year ago now and posted on here how me and my wife tried to use the pistol grip and didnt like it. Arent you also on traxxas.com. I read a lot of good posts on there as well. In fact I was recently reading mistercrash thread i think was his name, and those mods he did in his 50 page thread was awesome. By far the most detailed thread on any vehicle Ive ever read. Ill give your advice a shot, I dont know much about SPC but found these on his site : [link=http://www.spcracing.com/index.php?productID=113]SPC Li-Po Power, Lithium Polymer (LiPo) Battery Pack; 5000mAh, 25C, 3S, 11.1V[/link] . Not bad for the price plus comes with the traxxas connectors which is a nice touch. Id like something a little bigger though around maybe 6A and a higher C discharge. However since I have no batteries at all with the erevo I better order something before it gets here. Wanted to get 3s nano tech 25c but on back order. Cant even get the zippys as theyre on backorder too. Im assuming as long as the lipos are discharging greater than 120A it should be good.

www.spcracing.com/index.phpRemember that it being a 3s/11.1v that it doesn't need a real high cell rating due to it being a higher discharge voltage of 11.1v instead of 7.4v

RE: Biggest 3S Lipos where are they
I don't think the 3s 8200s will fit. Tom is pretty good about listing the fit in the description. If it fits the Revo or Summit, it says so at the end of the listing. He owns a Summit, too, so he has personally test fit the batteries.
I have the 2s 8200s, they are fantastic. One reason I like SPC is their ratings are accurate. Not always something you can say about other manufacturers.
If you're looking for a solid SPC battery with 3s voltage, that also fits your Revo, then check out the 3s 5400 mAh.
Yep, I'm on Traxxas, too.

But I did want to say that for once I disagree with LaTuFu. I think 5S is in no man's land and offers nothing. If I want to go nuts, I want 6S, if I don't want to go nuts, 4S is fine, plus it allows me to always use identical batteries (which is important on the Revo and Savvy as the batteries are effectively saddle packs on each side of the car, having them identical goes toward maintaining left/right balance. just my 2c, you won't see me running 5S ever.

thanks for the tips guys. unfortunately the nano techs are on backorder. I'm not sure about the zippy's. I did see some on the SPC site. they are the 3s 5000 25c lipos. I might give those a whirl.

Nice exhaust end good one. I wound up getting the ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 3S1P 40C. They seem to be a good fit for the erbe.

very nice truck foxy. Yeah the specs seem good at 40C. According to hobby king they are 145x50x27mm. That should be a great fit for the erevo. I believe the erbe battery dimensions are 150mm x 50mm x 30mm.
