Grinding sound in 2wd Stampede at Full throttle take off
After a small jump ( at full throttle) on asphalt, my stampede now makes grinding sound when I try to take off with more than say 1/4 throttle.i looked at the pinion and spur gears but they are both okay. The pinion had loosened up but I tightened it and the motor is tightened. I also have the gear mesh set correctly. Any ideas what it is? I'm hoping not the transmission.

if its not the pinion or spur gear I would guess its something in the trans or the outdrive cups. have you held it in your hand and hit the throttle. trying to replicate the sound. maybe motor bearings also.
