I have the xtm kit. It seem's like a good deal from e bay I got it for a hundred bucks plus shipping. I used a Hyper 21 and I dont run it on the street much so I haven't broken any parts and it's fast. I haven't seen the Dynamite kit but it looks good in the mags.

dynamite. stronger cvd's and lighter chassis, and looks cooler without the candy color.

I got mine off e-bay.(dynomite) It is by far the best bang for your buck. A great looking exhaust and very strong chassis. easy to install about 2 hrs.

Got a spare $500-600 to spend on top of the price of the kit ?? thats what it will cost you in other parts to make your T survive the .21 for more than a few tanks...even then you doing it "cheap"

Go buy a Savage.....cheaper than your conversion and a better truck.

I'm sorry i have to disagree, Savage is not a better truck, just differ'nt thats all. I have experience with both trucks.
As far as conversion kits are concerned, compare the total amount of the kit and all the accesories in them both then decide which parts are more of a priorty. My only real suggestion is to upgrade the gears in the transmission, primary f/r gears and the clutch gear or convert to forward only aluminum gear.

I went with the XTM myself. Very complete kit for the money. Comes with pretty much everything you need.

Like nitromouse said, you're gonna be upgrading the tranny gears eventually. I shredded mine shortly after dropping in the 24.7. I went with HCR forw and rev primaries and forw output. And the RR hardened steel topshaft. Seems to be holding up great.

As for Dynamite cvd's being better. No way. The xtm's and the dyn suck. I have used both. The xtm's that came with the kit lasted about 5 tanks, and then I bought nice new dynamites all around. I have broken three of them in 4 tanks. And I dont mean the pins, I mean broken shaft. And this was from very normal useage. Guess it's time for those high ass SM Ti cvd's.

Heres a pic of my Maxx now...

I have been looking for those aluminum output gears, can you give me the name of the manufacturer or the web address? I would really appreciate it.

They're from Hardcore. Not sure if you can get the output seperately from them or not. I got the set that came with the for and rev primaries and the forw output. It was pretty pricey. Like $80 through my lhs.
Heres a link to their site.... http://www.racinghardcore.com/

whats better?xtm or dynamite .21 t-maxx conversion? Thanks A BUNCH

the are basicly the same kit. xtm used to make it, but now dynamite bought it and made some changes and there you have it. the mach .26 is pretty much the same as the xtm 24.7, get the picture. so why not get the upgraded kit. ie dynamites.

Hmmm, well what brand would you suggest for me bubbafien? Like I said, XTM or Dynamite definately don't cut it. I am being perfectly honest when I say it was pretty light play that ko'd both of those brands. Especially the Dynamites. They looked real nice and strong, but looks are definately deceiving in that case. I just assumed that the Ti ones were stronger. What would you suggest? MIP maybe? Thanks.

sorry for the confusion, i meant the steel SM cvd's were stronger, than the SM Ti. but he only makes a couple batches of the Ti.'s every now and then.

the steel cvd's are a great buy, i use them and have ABSOLUTELY no complaints. pick em up at hobby shop nj
