Old T-Maxx - What header and pipe to get?
This is the old Traxxas Engine on the old T-Maxx. I want better performance without putting a huge dent in my paycheck. I was told that this is the next best thing to buying a whole new engine. So, now I am wondering what kind of header and pipe I should get. If you could, leave which header or/and pipe and a brief reason why. Thank You for all the help.

RE: Old T-Maxx - What header and pipe to get?
Hmmm.... Headers and pipes do change the power delivery through the range, you are right... It's not always clear if you are getting the best pipe for your needs though... I got SIGNIFICANT improvement through the entire range on the 2.5 with the RD Logic pipe- but I had to pay more for it. Some folks put on the 'bling' pipes and don't get squat.
I have heard good things about the old CVEC pipes. That's prob what I would get for the older Maxx Pro .15.
Also, ask the Nitro Stampede guys too- maybe in the main MT section. The Stampede still has the Pro .15, and they may have more experience you can ask around for to upgrade that motor.
