Default Traxxas T-Maxx Big bore shocks... my truck is now lower :-/

So after smashing up the front of my new truck, instead of spending like $30 on 2 stock tmaxx shocks they had the whole set of big bores on sale for 58 so I picked them up..

heres where I have 0 experience..

I installed the fronts, and the ride height is significantly lower.. are they supposed to be like this? do I put those little plastic rings in to raise it back up?

TIA.

Did you put them in the same hole as the origanol shocks?

Yes, they are installed in the same spot on both the upper mount and the lower A arm.

in the stock setup, the A arms were at about a 20-30 degree angle from the ground going up to the chassis

now the a-arms are pretty much parallel to the ground.

I think if you will check the big bore springs are shorter therfore less preload with same spacers. Ride heioght is set by pre-load it does not change the spring rate just how preloaded they are.

I think when I had them I installed the stock springs on the shocks. This worked out pretty good for me.

Cool, I put some of those preload spacers in there and it turned out exactly how I wanted it.... for awhile there I really wondered what the heck all those little c clip things were for.. heh
