Default I think I got WD40 on my brake disc...

is it shot?

I was spraying around on the underside of the chassis and I think I got the brake disc. I noticed significant loss of stopping power when I just took it out for a test drive.. will it dry out? or should I just buy a new disc?

Nope, should be fine. The maxx uses a fiber pad. Clean it up, an it'll be fine. 90% of the time i prefer the lesser expensive fiber brake discs. The only brake setup i like more is the revo. Semi metallic brake pads, and a metal rotor!

ya its fine, remember more you brake the more wares off so it will ware off quite fast, if its just keeps been bad then some thing else must be wrong.

well I can see the servo applying a good clamping force on it so I know thats not it.. Im going outside right now to burn the rest of the gas out of it and see if I cant heat up that brake enough until it gets the oil off. If not I know a new disc cant be too expensive.. no more expensive than my first crash... at $135 I dont think much is going to match that.

yah.. I just got back in... it only dried out a little.. $5 for a carbon fiber disc... no biggie.. I replaced my steering servo with a hi torque hitec, 100 inch pounds or something like that.. then I put my steering servo in place of the throttle servo so I would have better brakes...

hopefully when this is over Ill have Volvo style brakes where I can do a front flip at will
