Default Dual Exhaust for the TRX 2.5

I was looking at getting an exhaust like this http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXEPJ3&P=ML , do they increase performance, or are they basically for looks and to kepp your car clean.

Thanks

That will actually hurt power rather than make it. When you have 2 (stingers)outlets on a pipe it becomes more of a muffler than a tuned pipe and you will loos power. Get yourself a good name brand quality single outlet tuned pipe and you will be much happier with the power it makes.

I hate to put down anyone or their products but as far as those "pipes" that Kingex listed, i'd say those would absolutly kill all low end power and are more for "looks" than anything. Sorry just call em as i see em[]

And they dont even look that great.

Wouldn't those fall under straight pipes?

I would think they would fall under a straight pipe IMO.

i would recommend the slimline exhaust WAY before those monstrous creations that were posted by this guy that doesn't even seem to know english. but if you want a serious pipe go with the Sirio BB. i've even heard the GH pipe is just as good, if not better.

I hope your right. My GH pipe is in the mail on its way to me. I was thinking about the BB but the $$ was just too much. All I really want is low-end, so I'm hoping the GH will deliver. However, I have my doubts as it appears to be a match for the stock with the exception of the material. I sure hope it gives me more low-end, but that remains to be seen. I will post my findings once it arrives.

lol yeah his exhausts are pretty wild, I imagine pretty heavy 2 . Im not trying to Push off my products, But Check me out on ebay at dan6362001, The engines last about as long as they would with the stock muffler. Just check my feedback , I recently started selling on here also, These forums are great. The outlaw pipes are excellent I use to have one on my rc10gt, Paris pipes give a nice low end boost, I havent had one on my t-maxx yet but it seemed to help alot on my other cars.

I finally got a chance to try out my golden horizons pipe. All I can say is WOW. It made a huge difference on my low-end, way more than I expected. However the thing is easily twice as loud now, and I had to richen my hsn 2 full turns beyond my normal tune. I usually run between 3 and 1/2 and 3 and 3/4 turns out, but with this pipe I had to take it out 5 and 1/2 turns to keep it from heating up. But even at 5 and 1/2 turns out, it is way quicker than it was with the stock pipe. I'm having a hard time keeping my front wheels down, which hadn't been a problem for me since I added a ton of weight with a steel rollcage and extra skids.

Here's how it looks on the maxx

$29 at towerhobbies

[link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGDH2&P=ML[/link]

I ran it a bit more today and wow, it really gives you a lot more low-end. I expected the increased diameter and volume would add a little low-end but I never expected this. I have to warn though, it is WAY louder than the stock pipe, and it has an annoying metalic ping to it. So if noise is an issue for you then this isn't the pipe for you.

Will that exhaust work with a REVO?

I see you got more Low end Torque.. Did you lose any Top end speed?

The top end seems unchanged but I'm not 100% as I rarely ever hit the full top-end on my maxx. I can definately say that it made tuning a bit more picky.
