I was seriously thinking about getting rid of the TRX 2.5 outt've my Revo and going for something aftermarket. My question is ...what is the best one out there? I'm not doing any kind of racing so size isnt really an issue. I just want the one with the best power and easiest tuning. What is the selection? All I've seen is an OS .18 and the Trinity REVO-lution...which has yet to be unveiled.

You could get a big block conversion kit & fit almost any .21 - .28 engine. There is also a kit for the Sirio .23 engine which is supposed to be a good one. the O.S. 18 TM is a direct fit & I believe Fantom is coming out with a .18 direct fit also. I haven't tested or seen any of these engines so don't take my word just letting you know what's out there.

If its a TRUE trinity engine, not sirio or rossi, I'd pass on it. Shoot for the OS .18. They are 90 bucks at tower untill saturday.. buy one now.

I run the OS 18TM in my Revo and its a blast!! Its the best hop-up that I have ever done to any vehicle I have ever owned. You get legendary OS quality, durability, and it holds a tune like nobodies business. And its super fast. Why go with the weight of a big block and mess up the Revo's near-perfect suspension when you can get big block power out of a medium block that weighs almost the same as the stock engine. Plus , EZ Start can stay, not that its the greatest, but it is convenient nonetheless. I think the OS engine is the best bang for the buck, although its a costly buck at $210-$220. But you don't need to mess with conversion kits and the such. Go OS!!

I'll probably sell the TRX 2.5R. It runs fine I just need some more power
. It sounds like to me that the OS .18 is the way to go

The R40 is history as of about 2 weeks ago. I sold it and bought an electric Offroad truck to race. I felt that this was the best idea seeing as how there's an offroad (indoor) electric track only 1/2 mile from my house

That wont fit in the revo as a direct drop in, and I doubt it will fit period. You would also need a different clutch setup because the shaft is different than stock.
