Mach .26 conv. kit for $150?
I have been out of the Tmaxx loop for a while, since I bought my LST in July.
I went to my LHS tonight to get a couple small things and the guy showed me a (NIB) Dynamite Mach .26 conversion kit (2.5) for $150. I bought it. I was just wondering if this is a going rate for this kit, or did I get a deal?

Cool. I wasn't planning on getting one, because I already have a SB Wasp .21 in my Maxx with under 15 tanks through it, but it seemed like a really good deal. I paid more for my .21 than I did for this whole conversion. Looks like I'll be selling the Wasp .21 now.

I'm not sure yet. The Wasp .21 is still almost brand new. I'm still debating on what I should do with all this stuff. I just bought this kit a couple hours ago.

what a smokin deal!!

After I bought it, I searched the net for prices for the kit and $289 was the cheapest I found it for as well.
I asked the guys at my LHS if they had any more and they didn't. They were only able to get 6 kits at that price, and they sold out the first day. I got the last one (by accident).
I was just wondering if this was a common thing. I though that maybe since the release of the Revo, Dynamite's distributors might have a hard time selling these and put them on clearance or something.
I haven't even used my Tmaxx in 6 months, since I got my LST, but this kit will make it alot more fun .

Luckily, I had already beefed up the drivetrain. Maximizer diffs, RRP steel spur, and RRP steel FOC. I already had a full set of MIP cvd's, now it looks as if I have spares.

Do you guys think those cvd's that come with the kit can handle the power?
Its a nice kit, but would a new drop in .21 be good?

Yes, I saw that conversion kit this evening at my LHS and it was for the same price you quoted JEFX, i.e., $150.00. Looks like a great deal to me.

Considering that the Mach .26 is a Dynamite engine, and the included cvd's are also Dynamite parts, and it comes together as a kit (by Dynamite), I think it's safe to say that the cvd's can handle the power of the Mach .26.
I have the Mach .26 in my LST and it's been more than impressive. It has lots of power and torque, and seems to rev pretty high (it screams pretty good). It's easy to tune, and the LST with the Mach .26 is faster than a stock Tmaxx which is 4 lbs lighter. My Tmaxx with that engine is gonna be almost undrivable.

It has the engine, engine mounts, pipe, pipe springs, manifold, manifold springs, chassis, chassis braces, 6 cvds, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, linkage, allen wrenches, air filter, and instructions.
It's a complete kit that includes everything you need to transform the Tmaxx into a big block monster, besides screwdrivers and locktite.

Ok, here it is. Assembly was quite easy, but time consuming. Getting the linkage right was probably the longest part of the whole thing.
The included pipe was too long for the radio box to go in the normal position. There were countersunk holes in the chassis for the radio box to go in front of the pipe, but the pipe took up too much of that area. I ended up drilling holes through the chassis in that area so that I could zip tie my battery through the chassis. My battery is too big to go in the battery box, so I just strap it to the chassis and use Tamiya conectors instead of an on/off switch. Then I drilled holes for the radio box to go where the battery box normaly goes. I also had to drill holes for the New Era roll bar. The longer chassis didn't allow for the bar to be mounted using existing holes.
It took a little customization, but overall it looks very clean and made the Maxx almost as big as the LST. Here's some pics courtesy of Imageshack.

So, how powerful is the car. I bet it hauls. The lst probably weighs alot more than the t-maxx and with the same engine I cant imagine the power of the t-maxx now.

Cool pics, it seems practically the same size as the lst

I know it. The Maxx (including the New Era ti skids and Big Joe tires) is 1/4 inch shorter than the LST, 1/2 inch narrower, and the wheel base is 3/4 inch shorter on the Maxx than the LST.
So they are the same size, within 3/4 inches.
I think the wasp is prettier than the mach
