if you do run a reciever pack, you have to disconnect the RED wire going to the speed control that plugs into the reciever. just FYI

noooo. all recievers have that spot for a battery plug in, but you have to have a certain type of ESC I believe. Not sure which type, someone else will have to chime in on that one.

Koolflight.com has a thing called universal bec U-Bec you can get one at starluckrc.com. it puts out 6.0v of power and weight is way less than a rx pack you have to unhook the red wire from you esc and tape it for use later. hope this helps.

Thats ok (esc) Just make sure you disable the red wire from your esc that plugs into the rx, Whether you use a batt. pack or a U-BEC. Just pull it out of the plug itself and tape the end (in case you want to use BEC later you just plug it back in) The Universal bec is easy to install and has great instructions. $35.00 starluckrc.com. If you have tech questions you can email Jamie at starluckrc and he is a great guy, and like the Guru of Brushless motors... Always answers my dumbest questions[&:] LOL
Hope this helps,
Jay
