Default Ballooning

I want to protect my revo a lil bit. I know I need to balloon the ETC obviously but my question really is more about the servos. Are servos suseptible to water. I'm not talking about driving through a six inch puddle. I am more talking about takin it out after it has rained to play in the street. Or going through a lil bit of mud. I just don't want to have to buy any parts, escpecially electronics. I spent the money on the truck and the s&h and I am tapped out for a while. The sad thing is that I'll have my s&h and won't even be able to use it for about two weeks. I don't have the money to get a conversion kit.

Default RE: Ballooning

ive driven my revo through some pretty deep water (6 to 8 inches ) and havent had any electronics problems. but anything can happen at any time in this hobby, and they usualy happen at the worst times. this hobby is like a rollercoaster, you gotta take the good with the bad.

Well, really I am not too worried about the servos. Those aren't too bad and it would give me an excuse to upgrade my radio anyway, I AM worried about the Electronic Transmission Control, that thing is expensive and it is not something that Hobby Shops stock, you have to send yours to traxxas and they send you a new one if it is there fault or you buy one if it is yours. And they aren't cheap.
